Happy August y’all! This summer is flying by! And I’m way behind with my August newsletter! Back to school days soon, whatever form that takes in these crazy times! I’m sure it’s tough on mom’s having to take on more responsibility. Praying for the safety of our children/grandchildren. I have 2 back in classrooms. The new look for school! Sad but true!

There’s always a question about washing interfacings. My right hand, Kellie Toles, made a video regarding washing wovenFuse, and shrinkage. Good video Kellie! But she also states that she has made clothing with wovenFuse with no visible shrinkage noted. But whenever there’s a question, always TEST a small piece! Thank you Kellie! And one tip I recently learned while making my son some very professional drapery valances. When adding piping, stitch your cording to exterior using a piping/cording foot. Move needle all the way to the right. Then sew your two pieces together...whether its exterior and lining as it was for me, or 2 exterior pieces, with the needle moved two notches back to the left. Your original stitching is never seen, plus you get a nice snug fit for the cording! Try it! My piping job was easiest I’ve ever done!

Shipping Delays
I’m so sorry guys regarding any shipping delays. WovenFuse2 is currently on back order. I have 2 shipments on the way and just ordered a third. Shipping times have been difficult for me to gauge since EVERYTHING seems to take longer each shipment! I went to figuring just how long each order takes and now it appears it takes THREE MONTHS from starting production to delivering to my house! So I’m ordering more frequently now so hopefully the delays will cease for y’all. One order should be here in a couple weeks but i know 2 weeks is a huge time span for y’all. In the meantime, I still have Wovenfuse in stock. Please be aware that all orders containing wf2 at this time are on hold. I sooo appreciate your support AND your patience! I love you all and want to give the very best customer service. COVID-19 has certainly interfered with that!

August's Summer Recipe

Cherry Cheesecake Tacos
|

Cherry Cheesecake Tacos
5 - 8” tortillas
2 c graham crackers crumbs
1/2c melted butter
1c heavy whipping cream
1c cream cheese
Small box instant cheesecake pudding optional
1tsp vanilla
1/4c powder sugar

Heat oven to 400. Melt butter. Cut tortillas into small rounds, about 20. Dip into butter and roll in crumbs. Dip again and add more crumbs. Flip muffin pan and place between cups and bake 10 min or until brown. Cream together cheese, heavy cream, vanilla and powder sugar

Cool tacos and fill. Top with your favorite pie filling. Enjoy😋

I used whipping cream, since (I did not have heavy whipping cream and add the pudding to it a little more stiff) one small box instant cheesecake pudding.
