Last year our charity event was making backpacks for kids taken from their homes due to abuse. Sad situation for these kids. This year I’m hoping to extend our charity past Christmas, and present the gifts to Liberty Junction, a place with varied special needs children such as cancer, diabetes, autism, at our retreat in May!

Retreat
Did I say retreat?!?! YES! Big event! It will be held at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC, May 2-5! I've never been to a retreat, let alone plan one! But I've never done anything half heartedly! We will have well-known teachers (well, they are well known in the Facebook bag making groups) and incredible Bag Designers!

- The pattern we will be using is an exclusive design made just for our retreat, by bag designer Simona Bucinelli of Italy! We are so very honored, blessed, and thankful!
- We will have night time classes for all you night owls, pajama party sewing one night!
- Exclusively designed fabric by Lisa Bee for one of our projects!
- Lots of prizes including grand prize valued at $1000, a compound cylinder industrial machine donated by David Akhamzadeh of GoldStar Tools! Thank you David!

Tariffs

Tariffs are being assessed on my products! 😢. I've absorbed one increase in wovenFuse price several months back but didn’t want to increase my price. Unfortunately, I may have to with the new tariffs. Currently it is 10%, which increases in January to 25%! Ouch! I will try to stock up but we are also going into international holiday shipping which slows production and shipping way down!

Remove Wrinkles After Decovil Is Fused To Vinyl

When Decovil is fused to vinyl, and wrinkles appear, use your steam iron and iron your IRONING BOARD (NOT the purse). Get it good and hot and then immediately hold the side of the purse against your warm ironing board. Hold your hands inside the bag and press it down against the ironing board and smooth it from the inside.
