Happy November y’all! The month of Thanksgiving! Actually, everyday should be a day of Thanksgiving! I, for one, have so much to be thankful for! God has truly blessed me...and my business...this Year! Even thru the trials! I'm learning to trust Him more with every trial I go thru...personally and professionally. He has never let me down!

Retreat
We have lots going on! We have just about filled all of our slots for our very first Got Interfacing? retreat! Yay! I have an awesome team working together to making this retreat the BEST EVER RETREAT! It will be held at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro NC May 2-5. If you haven’t signed up to join, you can get details in my Facebook group. We will add a waiting list once we are filled, to see if we need to add more slots. There will be awesome prizes, the grand prize is an industrial compound cylinder machine donated by David of Gold Star Tools! Plus he’s donating FIVE $100 gift cards! We have lots of other awesome gifts also!
|
The pattern we will be using is exclusively designed for our event by Simona Bucineli! Thank you so much Simona! Some of the fabric we will use is being custom designed and donated by Lisa Bee! Y'all need to check out her page and join her group!
|
Thank you Lisa for all you are doing! We will have well known (in bag making circles) teachers...Lauren V Morning of Sew Whatever, Lauren Whitney of XOXO Lauren. And Linda will be having “tips” class along with another class. We will have special kits for one of the classes and both Laurens will be teaching some during the night. I believe we are going to night classes in PJ’s!! My incredible team (Deyanira Diaz, Stephanie McKratt, Shara Jensen, Linda Handley, Caron DuBois) and I are putting in a lot of work in preparation.
|
There’s Sooo much work going into this event, it will HAVE to be an event you won’t want to miss! I especially want to thank my spokesperson, Shara (Sigjens Jensen). I have voice issues due to radiation damage and Shara has been my voice, making the calls needed! Thank you Shara Jensen...big time! And my retreat team ... you guys are awesome!

Thank You!
And mostly I want to say how very much I love and appreciate all of my customers who have stood, and are standing, by me as I dealt with my manufacturer’s mishap of too much glue! Glue powder everywhere! It’s been tough on us here cutting and packaging this whole shipment. I sure thought I would receive the bulk of this, but turns out there was plenty to pass on to YOU! And I'm so sorry! But...all’s well and we are back on track with awesome interfacing again!
|
Guys, I'm so thankful I have a roof over my head, food to nourish my body (even though I cannot swallow due to radiation damage), shoes on my feet, clothes, heat in my home during these cold months ahead. Please, let’s remember those less fortunate, not only thanksgiving, but all year long.
|
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Blessings!

Interfacings 101: Do’s and Don’ts for handbags, vinyl, cork, & leather
This months tip comes from Laura Mormino! This video is incredibly educational! Thanks Laura!! Watch Video

Tip From Barb: I’d highly recommend, particularly with cotton, is fusing a woven interfacing first. It stabilizes your fabric, and prevents dimpling/wrinkling non woven interfacings can cause. Test your different fabrics with and without woven on fabrics other than cotton.
