Challenge - Win Interfacing
Only 10 months till Christmas! Every year I plan Christmas presents to make starting in January...and every year I’m panicking in December because I never started like I planned! I should come up with a super challenging game to motivate us all to start NOW! Help me out...what would motivate y’all to start on Christmas presents now? Retreat
Eighty-six days till Barb’s Bags...got interfacing? first retreat! What a line-up we have going on with LOTS of prizes to give away! You wouldn’t believe the time and effort my retreat planning team has dedicated to make sure this event will be unforgettable. My team of Shara Jenson, (Sigjens Jenson), Caran DeBroux, and Steph McKratt have done an amazing job and I owe them so very much! Couldn’t have done this without them. Why Use Woven Interfacing Before Non-Woven
There’s been a lot of discussions regarding why use woven interfacing prior to applying any non woven ...and proper techniques for fusing ...so I thought it would be worth it to post it here.

Woven reacts like fabric because it is fabric. Non woven is more like paper and drapes accordingly. Always interface with a woven before using a non woven. Wovens stabilize your fabrics, and non wovens can cause wrinkling/dimpling if not interfaced first with a woven. This advice did not originate from me! It comes from several designers, (Sara Lawson, from Sew Sweetness, Erin from Dog Under My Desk) to name a couple. And process each one according to manufacturer. With wovenFuse, no moisture needed. Let it set and cool before adding decovil. And decovil needs moisture and let it sit for 30 minutes to completely cool and set. (Vilene instructions). Decovil will not retain wrinkles. If its not adhering well , normally application was the issue.
